6.9.09 - New addition to the site.  The Gents' guestbook - I have such a volume of messages asking where the Gents' music can be bought on CD or downloaded when unfortunately, as explained elsewhere on this site, it's just possible, for certain reasons also explained elsewhere on the site, that I thought the best idea would be, in addition to the forum, which does seem to get underused, that rather than asking people to go the extent of registering on that, which is admittedly a bit of a long-winded and involved process, to put a guestbook up, where you can put a brief comment and hopefully people of that mind can put their plea for CD releases on there, so that I might be able to print a single long list of guestbook entries off and maybe sometime show them to somebody who matters.

So, if you want to see CD or download releases then by all means still send me a message through the feedback form as people have been doing, but most importantly at the same time as you do that, could I ask you to please put an entry on the guestbook, because that's my preferred method for you to express an opinion on that particular subject.

Thanks - Simon.

15.4.09 - Just had an email from Martin Burton, telling me about the fact that he has a page on a site called Last.fm.  It's a bit like mySpace in that you appear to get to put 4 songs on there, so if anybody's interested there are four of Martin's songs on there.  The titles are:-

Wake Up

One of These Days

See the Light and...

Stay With Me (yes yes yes, the Gents' song, re-recorded by Martin on his own, so this is one of the few places you can get to hear a Gents song in digital form, so get down there.  Listening to this almost brought a tear to this old eye...

Martin Burton on Last.fm, click here.

I think they're quite okay, I do like the Stay With Me in preference to the Gents' single version, so have a listen and let me know what you think, if you want, on the usual email address or through the contact form on this website.  It would be nice for someone to provide a review of these which can go on here.

25.5.09.  eBay - just spotted on eBay, there is an original Faker/Pantser for auction.  Ends in just over six days, here is the link:-

There's also a copy of the Gent, same seller, same starting price of £19.99, but to me that's not worth it, far less rare than the Faker Pantser above.  Link is:-

There's also one or two of the other usual things on there at the moment, later singles, a How it all Began album, but the two above were I thought worthy of mention.
