Well back in the days when 45 revolutions per minute mattered, really mattered, and compact discs were pretty much just being inventerised and the only one anybody had ever seen was Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits, the Gents were probably even more than most a singles band.  Those were the days when having a single mattered because the place that mattered to be was Top of the Pops - they don't even have that anymore...

The Gents in all issued at different times, nine singles, eight of which had the obligatory picture sleeves and three of which also made it onto 12" versions - the 12" single, remember them!  Yes I know they're still around, but only with silly dance music on.

So, this is the list of those nine glorious slabs of vinyl and the wonderful pieces of music that adorned them.  Ah, the memories of when music was black and seven inches across.
